Roughly every 2 months (or 50 L of water), you'll need to replace the water filter. Soak the new filter for 5 minutes and place it in the holder. You can use the slider to set a reminder for when to change it again.

Tips for your espresso machine

product-tips espresso-semi-auto tips small-coffee-packs

Buy coffee in small packs

Beans are best when they're recently roasted, as they still retain their taste and aroma. Get small batch coffee locally and store it in a cool, dark container.

product-tips espresso-semi-auto tips no-distilled-water

No distilled or mineral water

Both can damage a coffee machine. Fill the water tank with tap water (and replace the filter as needed).

product-tips espresso-semi-auto tips preheat-cups

Preheat for the best flavour

You can place your cup on the cup warmer on top of the machine. Cups and filter baskets can also be heated with the steam wand.

product-tips espresso-semi-auto tips refine-grind

Refine the grind size

Getting the right grind size means the taste will be exceptional. If it's too coarse, it will taste under-extracted or sour.

product-tips espresso-semi-auto tips tamp-coffee

Tamp the coffee down

Use firm and even pressure on the coffee grounds until it matches the mark in the filter basket.
