I never really believed that any mixer was substantially better than another but I was so wrong. I've been baking so much more over the last couple of years and my old mixer was really struggling. Only had it 3 years. I did so much research before making my choice as it is such a big purchase and am absolutely so happy with my choice. So much quieter, easily handles large quantities without struggling and a much better result with my bakes. I like that I can add various attachments so will be treating myself in due course to them. The actual size of the mixer is great as it doesn't take up too much room but still holds as much mix. The bowl is deeper than a lot of others and with the initial speed 1 so slow it allows a gradual mix without an explosion of flour or icing sugar. I'm sure I will have many happy years of baking.
