500 ml + 150 ml

water

3 stems

lemongrass

150 g

sugar

2 bags

black tea

Step by step

  1. Bring 500 ml water up to 90ºC in the electric kettle.

  2. Pour the water into a jug and add the teabags. Let steep for 2 minutes.

  3. Remove the teabags and chill the tea in the refrigerator.

  4. Cut the lemongrass across and chop into small chunks. Put into a small saucepan.

  5. Add 150 ml water, sugar and lemongrass, bring to a boil and let simmer for 15 minutes.

  6. Strain the lemongrass syrup and add to the cold tea.

  7. Serve the iced tea over ice.
