Ingredients

250 g oats

250 g all purpose flour

140 g light brown sugar

225 g butter, melted

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp cinnamon

50 g hazelnuts

350 g blackberries

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

50 g caster sugar

1 tbsp cornstarch

Step by step

  1. Add the oats, flour, sugar, melted butter, salt and cinnamon to the bowl of a Stand Mixer fitted with the Paddle Attachment. Coarsely chop the hazelnuts and add them to bowl as well. Mix on speed 2 until all ingredients are combined. Add the butter and mix on speed 2 until the crumble starts to clump together.

  2. Peel and slice the pears into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a small bowl together with the blackberries. Add the vanilla extract, caster sugar and cornstarch. Gentle mix everything together with a spoon until the fruit is evenly coated.

  3. Arrange the fruit filling in a skillet or baking dish and sprinkle the crumble on top. Bake for 45 minutes in a 180°C preheated oven until the crumble is golden brown on top.
