Make room in your freezer

Everyone loves ice cream, right? So we’ve made the KitchenAid ice cream attachment better than ever. Our new and improved ice cream bowl has been cleverly enhanced for even better results, and is even more durable. It measures 17.8 cm H x 27.9 cm W x 21.6 cm D and holds a generous 1.9 L of ice cream (from a maximum of 1.4 L batter), so remember to check that it will fit in your freezer. And, if you always keep it in your freezer, it’s there ready and waiting for whenever you get the craving.

Fast frozen treats in under 30 minutes

Yes, it really is that quick! Just remember to put the ice cream maker bowl in the freezer in plenty of time (at least 16 hours or overnight), or always have it ready in your freezer, and you can make your favourite ice creams in less than half an hour(3).

We’ve made sure the bowl stays colder, for longer(2) so you have more time to create the thick and creamy texture you’re after. The generously-sized bowl makes 1.9 L of ice cream with an initial batter volume within 1.4 L — that’s enough for everyone (if you’re happy to share!)

Dasher for fast, thorough mixing and creamier results

No more grainy, gritty ice cream with this clever ice cream maker. When you’re making ice cream, the faster the mix freezes, the smaller the ice crystals, and the smoother the results. During churning, the dasher of our ice cream maker rotates to quickly and thoroughly mix, for fast, even freezing. It spreads and scrapes the tiny ice crystals off the walls of the frozen bowl, and incorporates air, to create that thick and dreamy texture.

Remember to use the freeze bowl as soon as you take it out of the freezer, as it begins to thaw straightaway. You’ll soon be enjoying your delicious creation!

Light, fluffy ice is as easy as 1,2,3

Once you’ve decided what yummy flavour combo you’re going for, making your shave ice couldn’t be simpler. Just 3 steps: freeze, shave, create! And once you have your light, snowy base, then the fun begins. Two interchangeable blades mean you can switch up the texture too, between coarse and fine shavings for different recipes, pop in your ice and pull the lever. Sixty seconds ⁽²⁾ later you have over half a litre of fluffy shaved ice.

Cold, refreshing, sweet-flavoured shaved ice originated in Japan, but has become a firm favourite in Hawaii. It's shaved, not crushed, with a powdery, fine consistency, just like snow. So what’s the difference between shaved ice and a snow cone? Snow cones have much larger granules and are crunchy in texture, while shaved ice is much softer and fluffier.

Mixer Attachments Shave Ice Maker Dishwasher

Chill out! It’s simple to set up and clean

Cleaning up is easy too. The moulds, lids and blades are all dishwasher-safe⁽³⁾. You can wash the attachment housing in warm soapy water.

We love it! Whether with water or milk, whether with syrup or fruit - a shave ice is so refreshing and very easy to make with the Ice Shaver from KitchenAid.

The day before, freeze any flavor in one of the 4 cans (you don't need much space in the freezer), then place the ice shaver on the front of the food processor, insert the knife (fine/coarse), insert the block of ice, bowl under the ice shaver and set to level 10 you get great ice cream.

Cleaning is quick: partly in the dishwasher, partly by hand. I'm really excited and the KitchenAid Ice Shaver is being used a lot at the moment
