Ingredients

1 onion

2 garlic

1 tbsp butter

100 g bread

fresh thyme

1 kg ground beef

1 tsp paprika powder

1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

1 egg

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp salt

250 ml milk

1,5 tbsp ketchup

1,5 tbsp brown sugar

1,5 tbsp mustard

Step by step

  1. Peel and roughly chop the onion and garlic.

  2. Add them to the Food Processor fitted with the Multipurpose Stainless Steel Blade. Pulse until the onions and garlic are chopped.

  3. Melt the butter in a frying pan and cook the onion and garlic in a pan over medium heat until they are browned.

  4. Put the bread and thyme in the Food Processor fitted with the Multipurpose Stainless Steel Blade. Mix on speed 1 until the bread has turned into fine crumbs. Set aside.

  5. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the Flat Beater, add the ground beef, paprika powder, Worcestershire sauce, egg, the cooked onions and garlic, breadcrumbs, pepper, salt and half of the milk

  6. Mix on speed 2, stream in the other half of the milk.

  7. Put the meat on a lined baking tray and form a loaf shaped meatloaf with your hands. Use a sharp knife to carve a pattern on the top of the loaf.

  8. Bake for 35 minutes in a 160ºC preheated oven.

  9. In a separate bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard with a spoon.

  10. After 35 minutes, coat the top of the meatloaf with a generous amount of the sauce. Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for another 35 minutes.
