100 g butter
60 g golden syrup
66 g light brown sugar
133 g porridge oats
1/12 tsp cinnamon
Step by step
In a pan, warm the butter, golden syrup and sugar. Stir until everything is dissolved.
Place oats and cinnamon in a bowl of a stand mixer and attach the Flat Beater. Mix on speed 2 for 15 seconds.
Add the butter mixture and mix on speed 2 until all the oats are covered. Transfer the mixture to a square baking tin generously greased with butter. Bake in a 180ºC preheated oven for about 25 minutes, until the edges are golden.
The middle will still have a ‘wobble’. Leave to cool in a tray for 4 hours.
Remove from the tin and cut into squares.
