Ingredients

1 onions

1 garlic cloves

1 tabsp olive oil

1 carrots

2 celery sticks

1 tsp salt

pepper

150 ml tomato passata

300 g plum tomatoes, canned

300 g beef

Step by step

  1. Attach the Food Processor attachment fitted with the dicing kit on the stand mixer.

  2. Peel the onions and cut them in half. Peel the garlic clove. Turn the Speed Control Lever to 10. Place the onions and garlic in the food processor and push them through to dice them.

  3. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a pan. Add the onion and garlic to the pan. Sauté until the onion is translucent, stirring occasionally.

  4. Peel the carrots. Using the Food Processor attachment, dice the carrots and celery sticks on speed 10.

  5. Add the vegetables to the onion and cook them until they soften.

  6. Mix and bake for a minute before adding the tomato passata and plum tomatoes.

  7. Add salt and pepper and mix everything together. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  8. Attach the Food Grinder attachment on the stand mixer. Turn the Speed Control Lever to 4. Season the beef with salt and pepper and push it through the Food Grinder to mince.

  9. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a separate pan. Add the beef and cook over medium-high heat until cooked through and browned.

  10. Add the beef to the sauce and cook for another 2 minutes.

  11. Serve with pasta and grated cheese.
