How to plug in your attachment

Remove the hub knob

Turn the mixer OFF (0) and remove the bowl. On a tilt-head mixer, unscrew the hub cover to remove it. On a bowl-lift mixer, flip up the hub cover to open it.

Insert your attachment

Insert the attachment into the hub, making sure the power shaft fits into the square socket. You may have to rotate it back and forth slightly. The pin fits into the notch when in the proper position.

Tighten the hub knob

Tighten up the attachment hub knob until the mixer is completely secured to the mixer. It’s now ready to start!

How to use the pasta press: plate guide

Your pasta press is a great way to explore pasta creation at home. You just need to choose your disc and run the mixer at the speed indicated below.

Spaghetti disc

Use stand mixer speed: 10 Recommended noodle length: Approx 24 cm

How do you make pasta with the press?

Make your pasta dough

Mix a batch of pasta dough in your stand mixer. Note: Don't be tempted to put anything other than pasta dough into this attachment.

Select the right speed

Slide the stand mixer speed knob along to the correct speed shown in the plate chart above.

Feed in walnut-sized balls

Slowly feed walnut-sized balls of dough into the hopper. The dough should self-feed with the augur. Wait until the augur is visible before adding the next piece.

Use the tool if needed

The combo tool is for pushing dough if it becomes caught in the hopper and no longer self-feeds.

Cut your pasta shapes

As the dough emerges, cut it to length with the integrated pasta cutter. Please see the plate chart above for the recommended lengths.

How to clean your pasta press attachment

Your pasta press mixer attachment can be enjoyed for years to come. Discover the best way to keep it working perfectly.

Remove dried dough

Remove any bits of dried dough with the included cleaning tool. If necessary, use a toothpick to pick out remaining dough.

Wash with a damp cloth

Clean the pasta press housing, cutter, and pasta plates by hand with a soft, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth. Do not wash these parts in the dishwasher or immerse in water or other liquids.

Dishwasher-safe parts

You can wash the pasta ring, auger and combo tool by hand with a soft cloth, in warm sudsy water, or pop them in the top rack of the dishwasher.

Note

Allow the appliance to cool off before cleaning it. Never use metal objects to clean out the pasta press.
