Which blender speed settings should I use?

Your blender will have various speeds and modes, depending on which model you have. They allow you to customise your blend and get the results you need. We encourage you to experiment!

Pulse P / Ice crush

The Pulse 'P' function gives you a burst of power, with a Soft Start to avoid ingredient splatter. It's ideal for crushing ice and works until you release the dial back to 'O'.

Variable speeds 1-3

Manual speeds give you ultimate control: Fruits, sauces, soups, doughs, vegetables, butters, dips, nuts, frozen desserts, purées...

How to crush ice with the blender

Your blender is also an ice crusher, allowing you to make slushies and frozen treats in moments. The Pulse / Ice Crush function allows you to chop and crush ice without the need to add any liquid ingredients. Here's how...

Step 1

Take ice from a standard ice cube tray (or 7-8 average ice cubes) at a time for blending. Place them in the blender jar and firmly secure the lid, with the Lid Centre Cap in place.

Step 2

Turn and hold the Control Dial from 'O' to 'P' for the desired amount of time. When you release the Control Dial, the blender will stop.

Step 3

Remove the Lid Centre Cap only. Stir or press the contents down towards the Blade (you can use the tamper accessory - sold separately). Place the Lid Centre Cap back on to continue blending until all ice is crushed.
