To further extend the possibilities of a convection oven, KitchenAid has developed the Twelix Artisan Oven. It gives you the opportunity to cook in three different ways in just one oven: Twelix convection, forced air with steam, and pure steam. At KitchenAid we are always working to give you the most flexible, advanced technology. We created a convection oven that also offers the perfect steam environment by designing a special plug-in feature for the back of the oven cavity. Just plug in the steam accessory and create a pure steam environment within the steam pan, or cook with a combination of forced air and steam to make use of the entire oven space.
ARTISAN STEAM FUNCTIONS: PERFECT COMBINATIONS OF FORCED AIR AND STEAM.
The four preprogrammed Artisan Steam functions produce different combinations of forced air and steam. All you have to do is choose one to suit your dish: Meat, Poultry, Fish or Stuffed Vegetables. Once you have chosen your function, the oven automatically sets the correct temperature and the amount of steam needed while cooking to ensure perfect results every time. If you are feeling more imaginative, why not try the Custom Steam function. This gives you complete freedom to set the temperature and choose the steam injection intensity. Enjoy experimenting with your oven by adjusting the settings so your favourite recipes are cooked to perfection.
COOKING WITH PURE STEAM COULDN’T BE EASIER.
Just place your ingredients in the specially-designed steam pan, connect it to the plug in the back of the oven cavity and it becomes an active accessory. Thanks to smart technology a full steam environment is created within the pan.
PERFECTLY BALANCED CONVECTION COOKING.
The exclusive KitchenAid Twelix convection system offers a level of cooking performance previously only achieved in professional kitchens. Featuring two independent semi-circular heating elements and an enhanced internal design, Twelix technology radically improves airflow and heat distribution within the oven. As well as reducing pre-heating and cooking times, Twelix offers the key to culinary success with a multi-level cooking system that helps you create more of everything you want when you want. It is ideal when preparing for a large dinner party; whatever you cook and wherever you position it in the generous 73-litre cavity, your food cooks evenly and perfectly every time.
TWELI-GRILL AND TWELI-BASE, TWO CLEVER TECHNOLOGIES WITH ONE RESULT: PERFECTION
Tweli-grill activates the lower ring heating element as well as the grill element, allowing you to grill two trays at the same time. While food on the upper tray is grilling, the heat distributed throughout the oven starts cooking the food on the tray underneath. Just swap over the trays halfway through cooking and your food will be perfectly cooked and grilled on both trays at the same time. Tweli-base heats the lower ring heating element and the lower heating element to give you beautifully baked pastries and pizzas and even delicacies cooked ‘en cocotte’. Often in traditional ovens the top of dishes like these may be cooked but the underside remains pale and underdone. The Tweli-base function offers the ultimate way to finish off your cooking cycle, and ensure a perfectly baked base every time.
CONSTANT MONITORING OF FOOD INTERNAL TEMPERATURE.
Connected to the oven display, the special temperature probe allows constant monitoring of core food temperatures. Precise temperature control and measurement is vital for proper roasting but oven temperature is only part of the story. Monitoring the core temperature of your meat will tell you exactly when it is cooked to suit your own taste.
