Ingredients

Serving

115 g

all-purpose flour

1 tsp

salt

165 g

dark brown sugar

300 g

caster sugar

40 g

cocoa powder

260 g

dark chocolate chips

230 g

butter, room temperature

3

eggs

Step by step

  1. To make the jar: add the all-purpose flour, salt, brown sugar, caster sugar, cocoa powder and chocolate chips to a jar. Make sure to alternate colours while filling the jar. Make sure you add the chocolate chips last.

  2. To make the brownie: scoop the chocolate chips out of the jar into a microwavable bowl. Add butter and microwave on low heat for 2 minutes until everything is melted. Stir carefully.

  3. Add the eggs to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the Wire Whip and mix for 1 minutes on speed 6 until the eggs are foamy.

  4. Replace the Wire Whip with the Flat Beater. Add the chocolate mixture and the ingredients in the jar to the bowl. Mix for 1 minute on speed 2 until everything is just combined.

  5. Line a baking tin with damp parchment paper (this keeps the brownies moist). Pour the brownie batter into the baking tin and bake for 40 minutes in a 180°C preheated oven.
