Some KitchenAid hand mixers come with a locking swivel cord. This is handy because it allows you to approach the bowl from a convenient angle and secure it in place. Left-handed customers particularly appreciate this feature.
How to lock the swivel cord of the hand mixer:
- Turn the mixer over.
- Grasp the cord firmly.
- Lift and push the cord to the left or way to the right.
- You will hear a slight "snap" as it clicks into place over the small raised plastic dot.
Note: the cord does not lock in the middle position. The cord lock is always black, regardless of the mixer colour.
