All our blenders are super versatile and give you excellent performance and control. Usually there will be no need to use the tamper but, when it comes to high-speed blending, or very thick or heavy mixtures like nut butters, an air pocket may form over the blade, causing ingredients to bridge.
The tamper allows you to quickly step in and push ingredients down into the blending vortex to achieve best consistency.
