This sautéed red cabbage makes for a colourful and delicious side dish.

red cabbage

60 ml

cider vinegar

3 tbsp

dark sugar

80 ml+extra if needed

water

1/8 tsp

ground clove

1/4 tsp

salt

1/4 tsp

pepper

Step by step

  1. Peel the apple and the onion.

  2. Attach the Food Processor attachment fitted with the dicing disc to the stand mixer. Push the apple and onion through it on speed 4.

  3. Switch the dicing kit for the shredding disk. Shred the red cabbage on speed 4.

  4. Combine all ingredients to a large stewpot.

  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a low simmer and cover with the lid of the stewpot.

  6. Cook covered for 60 minutes stirring every 15 minutes. Add more water if needed.
